The India Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (InGARSS) is the flagship regional conference of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) organized in India. This series has been run for two years, 2020 and 2021, and was skipped in 2022, as the flagship conference of GRSS, the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) was held in Region-10, in Malaysia.
InGARSS is aimed at providing a platform for sharing knowledge and experience on recent developments and advancements in geoscience and remote sensing technologies, particularly in the context of earth observations, and disaster monitoring, relevant to the Indian subcontinent, and others.

InGARSS 2023 is set to have a high-quality technical program through various sessions and community events. We look forward to research papers with novel contributions as submissions to the research track.
We invite proposals for the Invited Special Sessions, Tutorials, and Industry Tracks. PhD research scholars are encouraged to submit their contributions to the doctoral colloquium which will be held as part of the InGARSS 2023 conference. The list of sessions and events can be accessed below.
Research Track
Submit your unpublished research at the InGARSS 2023 Research Track! All papers will undergo single-blind peer review, and accepted papers will be submitted to IEEE for publication in IEEEXplore
Invited Special Sessions
Special interest topics such as Geoscience and Remote Sensing for climate change, agriculture, tropical diseases and more! Submit your proposals now!
Industry Track
For professionals in the Geoscience and Remote Sensing domain to present their work, novel approaches, or interesting problems addressed, without submitting a formal written paper.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
Connecting mentors who can provide support, guidance, and career development opportunities to individuals from underrepresented groups who may face additional barriers to entry or advancement in the field.
Tutorial Sessions
A 3-hour, hands-on practical based on the topics listed in the technical track. This session aims to introduce, showcase, present and motivate beginners and experts alike.
Doctoral Colloquium
Aimed at doctoral students, these sessions encourage them to present their work and listen to expert talks to gain fresh perspectives on the research path.
Women in Engineering (WIE)
To bring together female engineers, researchers, educators, and industry experts to share their experiences, discuss difficulties and possibilities, and empower one another to continue breaking down barriers.
Young Professional (YP)
Modern map-making is all about building a narrative. This session encourages the use of interactive storytelling using maps and visualizations to better showcase and share information in the digital age.
