Divya Sharma

Brief

Divya is a seasoned technology & innovation leader with 15+ years of diverse industry experience in technology. Currently, Divya leads the data science and machine learning department at SatSure to create products that enable decision intelligence for the enterprises in Agriculture, Infrastructure and Energy sectors by leveraging the power of AI/ML and Data Science on geospatial data. Divya and her team are currently solving complex data science problems like Crop Classification, Yield Estimation to name a few, to build products targeting sustainability challenges like farmer financial inclusion, sustainable agriculture and climate action. Also, they have created innovative data models like optical image reconstruction with SAR data and super resolution for the EO data challenges of cloud cover and high costs of high-res image.

Career and Achievements

With 12+ years of experience in the United States, Divya has enjoyed leading and delivering delightful CVML/Robotics products in consumer electronics (mixed reality goggles, 3D scanners, multi camera frames, stereo camera solutions etc). Actively worked on disrupting agriculture and construction in North Americas by deploying autonomous vehicles/automation solutions and winning spotlights in CES, Las Vegas. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time in both established companies like IBM, HP, Samsung, Intel, John Deere while hustling a lot during startup stints at Vecna Robotics, Magic Leap, Blue River Technology and now at SatSure. She did her Masters from USC, LA (California) where she found her passion in Computer Vision and Robotics extending to Machine Learning and Data.

Dr Rajashree V Bothale

Deputy Director, Earth & Climate Sciences Area – NRSC, ISRO, Hyderabad

Brief

Dr Rajashree Vinod Bothale is presently Deputy Director, Earth & Climate Sciences Area at NRSC, ISRO, Hyderabad, India. She is Project Director for National Information  System for Climate and  Environment Studies programme, which is aimed towards generation of Climate Quality geophysical database, Essential Climate Variables, establishment of instruments and carrying out research in climate change using ground based and satellite based observations. She has more than 35 years’ experience of working in geo-spatial technologies particularly in the field of water resources, cryosphere and climate change.

Career and Achievements

She has done PhD from VNIT, Nagpur, ME in Remote Sensing from University of Roorkee, BE from NIT, Raipur and MBA from Lucknow, India. She has many technical reports, papers and three atlas to her credit. On government deputation, she served as an ITEC expert on RS and GIS to Government of Mauritius and received appreciation for her work.  As a member of 35th Indian scientific expedition to Antarctica, she visited Antarctica to carry out research. She has received appreciations, ISRO team excellence award and many awards for paper presentations. She was one amongst 51 achievers in E-book on “Women in STEM” (2021) published by Confederation of  Indian Industry and received many women centric awards.

Dr Rajashree is author of two Hindi books “Antariksh – Ek khoj” and “Satellite Navigation – An introduction”. The book “Antariksh – Ek khoj” was awarded first prize by ISRO and Second Prize in Delhi Book fare 2020 under reference book in Hindi category by the Federation of Indian Publishers.   Her second book “Satellite Navigation – An introduction” was awarded “Hindi Sewa Puraslkaar” by Rajasthan Government.

Ananyaa Narain

Brief

Currently employed as Vice President – Consulting at Geospatial World, Ananyaa Narain, an economist by education, is a leading thought leader in the socio-economic and market research space for geospatial, BIM, and frontier technologies worldwide. Having worked in the capacity of an expert/consultant with notable organizations such as European Commission – JRC, UNGGIM-PSN, WFEO, WGIC, Ananyaa was recognized as a 40U40 geospatial professional for 2020 by xyHt, and a Geospatial Rising Star 2022 by Geospatial World.

Career and Achievements

Over her seven years of experience in the geospatial technology domain, Ananyaa is recognized for her result-oriented approach to exploring the impact of the cross-linkage of technology, economics, and policy using varied qualitative and quantitative tools and frameworks. With a forward-looking mindset, high motivation, and excellent team player and communication skills, Ananyaa’s professional expertise includes working with cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary stakeholders across technology, academia, and government stakeholders for market size and forecast assessment, socio-economic impact evaluation, developing national policy and governance frameworks, and initiating and contributing to global technology and policy dialogue and debates through research reports and articles, and conference convening.

Harnessing the power of Generative AI in Spacetech

Bhumika Makwana

Machine Vision Engineer, GalaxEye Space

Brief

Bhumika Makwana is Machine Vision Engineer and the first Employee at GalaxEye Space where she is responsible for building Data processing and sensor fusion stack. Graduated from college of Engineering pune in 2021, she has worked on various technologies like google maps, smart city and precision medicine. In addition, being passionate about technology and innovation she envision solving challenging problems in space using advanced ai and ml technology.

Career and Achievements

She has been part of the Satellite team in her college who successfully launched Swayam, a 1-U picosatellite  launched by ISRO along with Cartosat-2C. She has a couple of technical papers and one paper co-authored by her received best paper presented award in – UASG 2021 conference. Her calm demeanor, resourcefulness and attention to detail has been a great asset to the organizations she has worked previously.
