General Information
This is a panel discussion on spatial thinking pedagogy for STEAM learning. This session is a part of the IEEE InGARSS 2023 conference representing the capacity-building initiative of the National Geospatial Program (NGP) of the Dept of Science and Tech. (DST), GoI.
Moderator
Prof. Shamita Kumar is an ecologist by training, with work spanning across biology and geospatial technology. She is the Vice Principal of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Inst. of Environmental Education and Research (BV-IEER), and leads several capacity-building initiatives of NGP.

Prof. Chakradhar Saswade is an artist and expert in visual semiotics, who teaches at the National Institute of Design, Bangalore. One of his most notable creatives is the logo of IIT Tirupati.
Prof. B. Ananthanarayan

Brief
Prof. Anant is a mathematical physicist at IISc who is very passionate about discovery in science. He too started his journey as an engineer from IIT Madras, but now is neck-deep in research in low energy physics and collider physics.
Dr. Neeti
Azim Premji University
Brief
Dr. Neeti is a scientist at Azim Premji University with expertise in GIS. She has long experience in working in geospatial technology in several organisations, such as ISRO, Goddard Flight Center, etc. amongst others. She is also an expert in several NGP committees. Her research focuses on using various AI-based approaches and geospatial technology in the field of forestry, agriculture, and disaster management.
Mr. Bharath Divyang
Zugzwang Academy
Brief
Mr. Bharath Divyang is an engineer by training from IIT Madras but is now a dedicated trainer of chess and mathematical puzzles for young children. He is the founder and CEO of Zugzwang Academy. He is a fluid intelligence coach and mentors young children to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. He has MBA from UNC Chapel Hill and IIM Bangalore.
